1. I’ve got so much to say;

2. I’ve got no  time to do it;

3. I’m off to Vietnam (woo-fucking-hoo!) in 48 hours :);

4. I’ve booked myself in for another pain session, the Penrose 24 Hour Rally … why… why do I do this?

5. I’ve still not completed my commitment for 3 posts a week!

City2Surf 2008

Ran this again this year, third time around now.  Had to do this as a ‘training run’, so the time that I would have like (80 minutes or less) turned into the time that I had to get (around 86-88 minutes, but still with plenty of energy when i’ve finished the race).

The item that gets me is that I have now to start training for a marathon which means that 20+k runs (ie half marathon and longer) are now supposed to be ‘normal’ runs, and anything at the 30k+ mark are now ‘long’ runs.

Anyway…  Weather was perfect (great temperature, very slight breeze), as always I got overtaken by a thousand old guys and generally had a lot of fun.  Washed the days activities down with one beer and a couple of rum and cokes (disappointing, usually we’d drink a case, guess i’m getting old).

In other news i’m off to the UK again in a few weeks to save the world (again), I went on a spending binge this weekend (got myself a $500 Myer voucher which we spent in one session… I now have Blue iPod nano, making us a 4-iPod household.. :)), bought more DVD’s (Weed’s Season 2, here I come!) and a flashy new Apple keyboard (unlike reguar keyboards, this one rocks…. but of course because it’s apple it costs $70!)

Anyway, that’s all I have for now.  

Ok… few more things:

 

1. I’ve only seen my goddaughter once and I think i’m about to be expelled as godfather

2. I miss my nephew dearly, and he’s started walking so i’m desperate to get up and see him!

3. I want to go back to Brisbane and hang out there for a while, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon

4. Really, that’s all i’ve got.

 

Oh…. and Lucy is quitting smoking… fun times ahead for me :)
