Sorry to be slapping down the all-serious on everyone on this fine Sunday morning (though, I will be at work all day, so it can’t be that fantastic!), but I need to get this out as it has been bought to my attention via concerned channels.
I have been informed that if corrections/alterations are not made to this site by 9am Monday morning, that a character definition case will be brought against the owners/authors of this site.
I have spoken with a solicitor in regard to this matter who has informally read over the site and indicated that there is no material which is in breach of the appropriate act. (comments along the lines of ‘no signs of willful harm, no signs of direct slander referencing individuals/companies which will cause damage to reputation’).
However, I was also informed that as a sign of good faith, and as an appropriate first step in the negotiation process I am to publicly state the following:
If there is any person who feels that material posted about them is of a defamatory, with evidence of how the text breaches the appropriate act, please reference: the exact text, your personal details including specific references to how the text is addressing you in a defamatory manner, and any supporting evidence which may assist in my investigating your complaint.
This is by no means an indication that any texts/references will be removed. I will provide feedback as to any person indicating that materials about them are defamatory. If sufficient and appropriate evidence isn’t produced, then I won’t remove or alter the post.

I have had a discussion with one party in relation to posted materials on this page, with the appropriate information being clarified publicly.
Subsequently I have taken the liberty of not making direct references (aside from: I saw x person on Friday night…. that kind of chatter) on this website to reduce the chances or anything being raised further.
