You’re just not committed…
A manager who I currently work with (though not directly my boss), has a couple of rules in business and in life… these are:
“Adam, I run a no excuses policy. I don’t want excuses, I want results” …. now, this guy is 6″4′ and can get away with statements like this. He doesn’t care if you don’t like him, he just cares about the bottom line. We get along well because of this final factor 
his second statement is:
“Adam, anything less than a carton and you’re not committed” …. Now anybody who’s anybody knows that we’re speaking of alcohol here
Tonight, I think I lacked the commitment. I had the opportunity to purchase a carton of some fine pre-mix Bundaberg Rum and Coke in bottles, but, sadly, I went for the six-pack.
And although the six-pack has served me well in the 3-4 hours i’ve taken to consume the contents, i’m now seriously wishing that I had another few bottles to tie me over before the morning hours.
I can’t even commit to a full carton of Rum and Coke… it’s a sad sad day…..
And of course, “we run a no excuses policy” … so I can’t even use that as a valid answer
